Bengkel Semakan Akta OKU Siri 3/ 2022 Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat

Pada 23- 25 Jun 2022, SBM telah terlibat bersama-sama NGO OKU yang lain di seluruh Malaysia dalam membuat semakan bagi Akta OKU 2008.

Bengkel ini dianjurkan oleh Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat bertujuan untuk mendapatkan info, cadangan, dan tatacara penyelesaian dalam sebarang masalah yang melibatkan OKU bagi tujuan memastikan Akta OKU 2008 dapat dikemaskini selaras dengan keperluan dan kepentingan OKU di seluruh Malaysia.

Bengkel ini dijalankan di The Grand Resort Beach Port Dickson dan dihadiri lebih dari 40 NGO yang mewakili pelbagai OKU.

Pertubuhan Orang Cacat Penglihatan Malaysia diwakili oleh dua individu iaitu Dr. Lim Tian Hong Pengerusi Jawatan Kuasa Advokasi, Komunikasi dan Hak Asasi, dan Encik Muhammad Akmal Hafizudin Eksekutif Perhubungan Awam SBM.

Restricted funding prevents us from responding to the arising issues concern the visually impaired community. To this date, all donations we received covered all aspects of The Society, from the activities to The Society operational costs. Therefore, we need to stretch our resources very thinly to meet our objectives and contribute meaningfully to the visually impaired community.
